Antiqued Shelf with Farmhouse Paint and Tea Stain Antiquing Gel

If you saw my previous post about the side table I repainted using Creamy Linen from Farmhouse Paint and the Tea Stain Antiquing Gel; then you shouldn't be surprised of how this shelf turned out.  You can read about the side table here.  The shelf is antique looking without the antique time.  It will be taken to my Blondie's Boutique booth at Fabulous Finds Thrift Store in San Antonio this weekend.  I love the way it turned out.  Sorry about not having a before picture; but if you can imagine, it was painted a rustic looking red and was purchased at Goodwill in New Braunfels.  So, what do you think?  Are you liking the results of Farmhouse Paint yet?

Disclosure:  I purchased this quart of Creamy Linen paint directly from Farmhouse Paint.  I received a complimentary sampler of the Tea Stain Antiquing Gel.  The opinions in this post are 100% my own.  I have not been compensated monetarily for this post.

Inspirational Ideas from "do it YOURSELF" Magazine

A co-worker let me borrow a couple years worth of magazines.  Since she wants them back (understandably so), I took pictures of a couple of ideas that have inspired future projects.  Now if only I had the time to do them.

I have a collection of vintage bottles.
I think I might dress them up a bit, as shown in this picture.
Planning to sell them after holding on to them for over 30 years...
this would make lovely presentation.

This one isn't actually for a door; but for an upcycle idea for a table top.
I love the mosaic look and ideas are floating around in my brain.

I just had to keep this for future reference.
I think it is such a fabulous idea and a picture is worth a thousand words, right?

Repainted Side Table with Farmhouse Paint Products

Hello All!  Its been a while since I completed a project; but I am very proud of this piece.  It started out looking like this:

Before - scratched, dented and well used.
After a light sanding in obvious areas, and a little bit of wood filler; I proceeded to use Creamy Linen paint from Farmhouse Paint.  At first I wasn't sure I would like it, coverage seemed too light with lots of "bleeding".

But after a couple of coats, the result was looking much more to my liking.  Then it was time to try the antiquing gel.

And finally.... the lovely country chic look I was going for.

I love, love, love the results!

All finished and ready to sell in the boutique.
Have you tried Farmhouse Paint yet?  ... its definitely a keeper!

Disclosure:  I purchased this quart of Creamy Linen paint directly from Farmhouse Paint.  I received a complimentary sampler of the Tea Stain Antiquing Gel.  The opinions in this post are 100% my own.  I have not been compensated monetarily for this post.
